Complex is currently looking for a full time Marketing Designer, to work within Complex's Marketing Department. You will have the opportunity to design for the large range of brands we work with on a daily basis; ranging from footwear to consumer electronics to liquor and more.

This role has a firm base of NYC. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Smart, talented, and creative. You’re passionate about doing great design and hold your own work to very high standards.
  • Familiar and aware of new developments in Pop Culture, Digital Design, Marketing, and Advertising.
  • Obsessed with details, well organized, and capable of meeting deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
  • Collaborative within a team-driven process, but also confident working independently.
  • Able to think critically and bring internet-breaking ideas to the table.
  • Designing front-end custom websites and platforms.
  • Building front-end mockups of high impact digital ad units.
  • Creating 1sheets, decks, and other Marketing materials with very quick turnaround.
  • Adhere to project schedules and effectively report progress to meet challenging deadlines.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and at least 2 years of industry experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/AfterEffects)
  • Animation skills (AfterEffects preferred)
  • Excellent design, color and typographic skills.
  • Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite -- specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and AfterEffects.
  • Strong understanding of user experience, web design principles, information architecture, and social media.
  • Expertise in presentation design within Keynote and Powerpoint.
  • Experience preparing and packaging files for printers, vendors and web developers.
  • Familiarity with the usage and capabilities of HTML, XHTML, CSS as well as other web development/production tools.
  • A process-driven approach to design.
  • Highly organized with a tremendous attention to detail.
  • Possess a love for information design.
